In January 2000, President Bill Clinton boldly promised China's inclusion in the WTO (World Trade Organization) " is a good deal for America, now our product will get better access in China's market and every sector to agriculture, to automobiles, to telecommunications but China gain no new market access to United States of America." None of what President Clinton promised came true.
After the inclusion of China in WTO more than 50,000 of American factories have closed, tens of millions peoples have lost their jobs. It was not a good deal for America, it was a very bad deal for America. It was a very good example of how politician of Washington failed America in diplomacy.
It is a huge obligation for American next President to show strength in leadership at negotiation table about trade policy with China. From Bill Clinton to Barak Obama no American President couldn't did it properly.
It is a true obligation for American next President to fight for American businesses and workers.
America fully opened their market for China but China stay with protectionism like it's great wall. China imposed different kind of unlawful tariff and non-tariff barriers to keep American companies out from China.
So, it is big challenge for next American President to maintain this issue with favor for American businesses and workers and also who will convince American by this issue prior to election also will be highly benefit in election race.
